Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) to support Navy PPTT program, focusing on design, analysis, and execution of large industrial and defense structures for naval propulsion training systems.

This on-site role in Dallastown, PA requires taking projects from concept through final construction, with leadership across teams and coordination with mechanical, electrical, and integration groups to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of structural engineering experience on large industrial, energy, marine, shipbuilding, defense or nuclear projects.
• Experience taking projects through to completion and signing off on final builds.
• Experience with steel and concrete structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency with RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS or equivalent.
• Experience performing full structural system analysis, not just components.
• Strong understanding of loads, foundations, steel framing, and equipment supports.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and review for complex facilities.
• Analyze and validate designs using structural software.
• Support projects from concept to construction and turnover.
• Review drawings, calculations, and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, construction groups for project success.
• Ensure designs meet standards, safety, and customer specs.
