Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) to support the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program through the PPTT program. The role focuses on design, analysis, review, and execution of large-scale steel and concrete structures for defense-related facilities and a high-fidelity naval propulsion training simulator.

This on-site position located in Dallastown, PA collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams to move projects from concept through construction,

Qualifications

• Active PE license required for structural engineering work.
• 7–10+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial/defense projects.
• Experience taking projects from design through final construction and signing off.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and reviews for complex facilities.
• Analyze and validate designs using RISA, STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent.
• Guide projects from concept development through construction and turnover.
• Review drawings, calculations, design packages, and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Evaluate steel and concrete structural systems for large installations.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and construction teams.
• Ensure designs meet standards, safety requirements, and customer specs.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
