Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Structural Engineering Lead (PE) to support advanced Navy training systems for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. On-site in Dallastown, PA or Orlando, FL with travel to project sites, leading structural design, fabrication, and installation for a high-fidelity naval propulsion plant simulator.

Requires 10+ years in structural engineering, active SC PE license, and experience in defense or heavily regulated industrial settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience
• Active PE license in SC with structural emphasis
• Experience in heavy industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and large-scale installations
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• On-site work in regulated/defense environments

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering leadership across a multi-disciplinary team
• Review and approve structural designs for complex systems
• Collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Support design reviews, risk assessments, and decision-making during fabrication and commissioning
• Mentor engineering staff in a matrixed environment
