Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group in the United States seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to advance carbon-free energy projects, including SMRs and Advanced Reactors. You will guide design teams, develop calculations, and interface with multiple disciplines.

The role requires 5+ years in structural design, ABET-accredited degree, and proficiency with major analysis software; hybrid in-office schedule 3 days/week with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Structural/Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing and analyzing structures in a project team.
• Proficiency with major structural analysis software and design codes.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel design and concrete design.
• Prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications and reports, and support designers.
• Mentor others in the development of engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and site verification; hybrid work 3 days/week.
