Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Nuclear Power Group. This role offers a hybrid work schedule mixing office and remote work, with opportunities to advance in carbon-free nuclear energy projects.

You will lead a team of structural engineers, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across disciplines while using advanced design tools and industry codes to deliver safe, cost-effective structures.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Five+ years of experience in design and analysis of structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, ANSYS).
• Proficiency with design codes such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of structural engineers and interface with other disciplines.
• Guide work of less experienced project team members.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members, and foundations.
• Prepare and review calculations, develop specs and reports, support drawing development.
