Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Structural Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with multi-jurisdiction licensure. You will serve as Engineer of Record, guiding structural and geotechnical utility projects across states and coordinating a team of engineers and designers.

The role supports HBK's expanding offerings in power, renewables, telecom, gas and municipal sectors. You will oversee technical execution, manage day-to-day project tasks, and stamp/seal drawings as required,

Qualifications

• Professional licensure as a Structural Engineer and ability to obtain reciprocity.
• 10+ years of experience in structural and/or geotechnical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE, UBC and IBC codes.
• Experience leading teams and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team of engineers, designers, and field personnel.
• Perform engineer-of-record duties including stamping/sealing drawings as required.
• Develop and monitor project execution plans, reconcile scope and schedule.
• Oversee structural and geotechnical designs for utility infrastructure.
• Communicate project status and client feedback to stakeholders.
