Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting in Nashville seeks a Structural Engineer IV to lead complex projects in our Facilities Engineering group. You’ll own designs from concept through completion, guiding a multidisciplinary team and delivering practical engineering solutions.

This senior role requires independent work, strong communication with clients, and mentoring of junior staff. Expect growth across Liquids, Power, Mining, and Manufacturing sectors with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 5+ years’ experience as a structural engineer.
• PE preferred, EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations per codes and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers on projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and oversee schedules and budgets.
• Develop CAD drawings or sketches for Designers/Drafters.
• Lead and mentor engineers, attend client meetings as SME.
• Observe field conditions and document findings for design integration.
• Coordinate documents and present technical aspects to varied audiences.
