Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC is seeking a Structural Engineer IV in Minneapolis to lead complex projects within the Facilities Engineering group. You will own projects, apply advanced technical expertise, and mentor others throughout concept to completion.

The role demands a senior-level engineer who thrives on solving problems, leading teams, and delivering safe, practical, high-quality designs across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 5+ years’ experience as a structural engineer.
• PE preferred, EIT required.
• Knowledge of design codes including ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage design effort.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on projects or portions of projects.
• Present technical aspects to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical documents and drawings for construction.
• Oversee schedules and budgets for projects.
