Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer IV in Omaha to join our growing Facilities Engineering group. You’ll lead complex engineering projects and take ownership from concept through completion.

This senior-level role emphasizes mentoring and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver safe, practical, high-quality engineering solutions across industries such as liquids, power, mining, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 5+ years’ experience as a structural engineer.
• PE preferred, EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams when required.
• Layout and detail projects as Engineer of Record or under supervision.
• Provide CAD drawings or sketches for Designers/Drafters.
• Research design options and document findings for Engineer of Record.
• Review shop drawings and ensure conformance with design intent.
• Direct and supervise Designer/Drafter activities as needed.
• Attend client meetings as a SME and provide input on technical decisions.
• Conduct field observations and document existing conditions.
