Nordmin Engineering USA, Inc. is expanding its Structural Engineering Department in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeking a Senior Structural Engineer ready to lead and mentor a growing team on mining and industrial projects.

You'll guide technical direction from concept through construction, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver high-quality solutions while advancing department standards and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• PE license (U.S.) required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Strong steel and concrete design knowledge.
• Familiar with IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI codes.
• Proficient in structural analysis software (S-FRAME or equivalent).
• Experience leading projects from concept through construction.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Leadership mindset and collaborative attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural and multidisciplinary project teams for mining and industrial clients.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineers and designers.
• Perform advanced structural analysis, design, and seismic evaluations.
• Prepare reports, calculations, specs, and construction docs.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines for seamless execution.
• Support field assessments and site visits (~10% travel).
• Help strengthen department standards and growth initiatives.
