Nordmin Engineering Ltd. in Salt Lake City seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (Power) to lead an electrical design team on mining, energy and industrial projects.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with management and guide projects from concept through construction. The role demands a BS/BE in Electrical Engineering, US PE license or eligibility, 10+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or BEng in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program in the US.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing in the US, or ability to obtain licensure.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power systems design and management.
• Demonstrated design team experience.
• Strong communications and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical power and multi-disciplinary teams on mining, energy and industrial projects.
• Estimate hours, deliverables and resources, and develop project schedules.
• Collaborate with department management on strategic requirements and staffing.
• Provide technical oversight for high/medium voltage systems and protection schemes.
• Lead development of electrical power designs for heavy industrial/energy sectors.
• Write and review technical specifications and proposals.
• Evaluate supplier submissions and make recommendations.
• Ensure cross-discipline communication with project managers and clients.
• Travel ~10% for site visits and project delivery.
