Job summary

Primero in Salt Lake City is seeking a Structural Engineer to design steel and concrete structures, ensuring compliance with project requirements and technical standards. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a Professional Engineer licence, with 3–7 years of relevant experience in mining and mineral processing.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in mining, mineral processing, or hydrocarbons.
• Ability to assimilate client and project requirements quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Design of steel and concrete structures and foundations per project requirements.
• Work alongside Senior and Lead Engineers for all project phases.
• Ensure engineering activities follow project requirements and Primero's standards.

Skills

Solid knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices

Strong understanding of structural design theories, principles, and calculations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Time management and organizational skills

Proficiency with design and analysis software

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Professional Engineer (P.E.) licence
