Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and delivery for large-scale advanced technology and semiconductor projects from planning through construction. You will select efficient structural systems, develop calculations and models, and coordinate construction documents that meet deflection, vibration, and seismic criteria.

The role collaborates with PMs, architects, MEP leads, contractors, and clients in an integrated design-build environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; PE licensure required.
• Experience leading structural design for large, complex projects in fast-track delivery environments.
• Strong background in steel, concrete, and vibration-sensitive systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts for cleanroom, fab, utility, support, and high-tech facilities from conceptual design through construction.
• Develop structural system concepts and select materials based on performance, constructability, and schedule.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, narratives, and models for gravity, lateral, seismic, and vibration-sensitive systems.
• Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (linear/nonlinear, modal, response spectrum, time-history).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions and resolve comments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design-build execution through coordination and RFIs.
