Job summary
Thornton Tomasetti is hiring a Senior Engineer in our Structural Practice in Tampa to lead complex analysis, design, and detailing on varied projects. You will refine construction documents in a BIM environment, guide junior staff, and engage with clients to support project delivery.
You will collaborate with architects and engineers across disciplines, applying codes and best practices while expanding your technical leadership and project responsibilities in a collaborative, multidisciplinary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, StructurePoint and Revit.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and communicate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of structural analysis, design, and detailing tasks of growing complexity across diverse building types.
- Develop and refine construction documents in a BIM environment with thoughtful self-review.
- Collaborate with architects, builders, and engineers from multiple disciplines and communicate needs clearly.
