Job summary

EAPC is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in the United States to lead design and detailing for new and renovated structures. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and drafters to deliver robust, code-compliant designs.

The role requires PE licensure, 8+ years of structural experience, and proficiency with RAM, RISA, or Enercalc. You will mentor EITs and supervise CAD/Revit tasks while supporting budgets, schedules, and client proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• Minimum 8 years of demonstrated design/detailing experience for buildings/structures.
• Knowledge of building codes related to structural design.
• Experience mentoring EITs and signing/stamping work.
• Proficient with MS Office is assumed; valid driver's license; U.S. work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations for new and renovated buildings.
• Coordinate designs with architecture, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines.
• Edit and write structural specifications.
• Perform investigations and feasibility studies with cost estimates.
• Mentor EIT staff and guide CAD/Revit teams.
• Oversee construction administration and respond to RFIs.
• Visit sites to verify conditions and dimensions.
• Assist project managers with budgets and schedules.
• Support proposals with scope, deliverables, and fees.
