Job summary

EAPC in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join our award-winning, full-service design and consulting firm. You will lead structural design, detailing, and calculations for new and renovated buildings, coordinating with architecture, MEP, and civil disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited), a PE, 8+ years of experience, proficiency with RAM, RISA, Enercalc, and strong mentoring skills. We offer benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of design and detailing experience on buildings/structures (steel, concrete, masonry, wood).
• Knowledge of building codes related to structural design.
• Experience mentoring structural EITs.
• Ability to sign/stamp own work and review others' work.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license; eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations for new and renovated buildings.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines.
• Edit and write structural specifications.
• Perform investigations and feasibility studies with cost estimates when required.
• Mentor EIT staff and guide CAD/Revit specialists.
• Perform construction administration activities and site visits.
• Assist project managers with budgets and schedules.
• Assist in proposals with scope, deliverables, and fees.
