Job summary

EAPC, a multi-disciplinary design firm, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural projects through design, detailing, and construction administration. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with architects and disciplines, and contribute to budgets and proposals.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, and 8+ years of experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems in diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• PE licensure (Professional Engineer) required.
• 8+ years' experience in design and detailing of buildings/structures using steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
• Strong knowledge of building codes related to structural design.
• Experience mentoring EITs and stamping own work.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations for new, added, and renovated buildings.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, civil and other disciplines.
• Edit and write structural specifications and perform feasibility studies.
• Mentor EIT-level staff and guide CAD/Revit teams.
• Perform construction administration: review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, site visits.
• Assist project managers with budgets, schedules, and proposals.
• Sign and stamp own work and review others' work for compliance.
