Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the Building Engineering Services (BES) structural team in the New England region. You will serve as Structural Engineer of Record for projects and guide design from concept through construction.

You will perform analyses, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, and mentor junior staff while ensuring life safety, resiliency, and performance objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain preferred.
• 10+ years of structural engineering in A/E consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead BES structural engineering section in New England region.
• Serve as Structural Engineer of Record for projects.
• Lead structural design from concept through construction.
• Develop systems per codes, sustainability, lifecycle cost.
• Perform structural analysis with RAM, ETABS, SAP2000; integrate BIM.
• Prepare calculations, specs, reports, and documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and review work for quality.
