Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the Building Engineering Services (BES) section in the New England region, focusing on design and technical reviews of building structures.

You will serve as the Structural Engineer of Record on projects, guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction, and mentor junior staff while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of structural engineering experience in building design.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects from planning through construction.
• Proficiency with RAM Structural System, ETABS, SAP2000, and BIM platforms such as Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BES structural engineering section for the New England region.
• Serve as the Structural Engineer of Record (SER) for building projects.
• Lead structural design for buildings and infrastructure from concept to construction.
• Develop systems based on codes, constructability, sustainability and lifecycle cost.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and consultants.
• Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables.
