Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead the Building Engineering Services Group’s structural design efforts in the New England region. You will direct the design and technical reviews of building structural systems, serve as SER on projects, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with architects and other engineers.

You'll apply expertise in RAM/ETABS/SAP2000 and BIM (Revit), uphold life-safety and sustainability goals, and help win new work by delivering high-quality,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
10+ years of structural engineering experience in A/E consulting.

Responsibilities

Be the lead for the BES structural engineering section in the New England region.
Serve as the Structural Engineer of Record (SER) for building structural projects.
Lead structural design for buildings and infrastructure from concept through construction.
Develop structural systems based on project requirements, codes, sustainability, and lifecycle cost.
Prepare and review structural calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
