Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services in the New England region, focusing on complex structures and critical infrastructure. You will serve as the SER for major projects, lead design from concept to construction, and integrate BIM/delivery workflows with a team of experts.

The role requires a PE license (or ability to obtain) and 10+ years in structural engineering within an A/E consulting environment, with strong leadership and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain strongly preferred.
• 15+ years in structural engineering within A/E consulting environment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary building/infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead BES structural engineering section in New England region.
• Serve as Structural Engineer of Record (SER) for building projects.
• Lead design for buildings and infrastructure from concept through construction.
• Develop structural systems per project requirements, codes, constructability, sustainability, lifecycle cost.
• Perform and review analyses using RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA-3D, STAAD.Pro and BIM workflows.
• Prepare structural calculations, specs, reports, and construction documents.
• Conduct QC/QA reviews of deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff; support staffing plans.
