Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group in New York, NY seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design for commercial projects. You will oversee calculations, drawings, and coordination with architects and engineers from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• 8+ years of structural engineering design experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Proficient in creating construction-level structural drawings using Revit.
• Familiarity with RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA or similar 3D design tools.
• Proficient withMicrosoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drafting staff, clients and project teams.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to ensure correct design implementation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents.
• Create construction-ready drawings coordinated with disciplines.
• Manage shop drawing review, RFI responses and construction coordination.
• Operate with autonomy on project management.
