Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our Houston/Atlanta offices. You will contribute to design tasks, collaborate with drafting staff, and help prepare construction documents under supervision.

The role requires a BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering and up to 1 year of internship experience. Revit and RAM/SAP2000/RISA skills are valued as part of our design workflow.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 0-1 years of structural engineering internship or co-op experience
• Revit experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
• Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
