Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group in Houston, TX seeks a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead building design projects from the office. You will manage client relationships, coordinate with drafting staff, and ensure design integrity from concept through construction.

The role requires 4–5+ years of experience, expertise in steel/concrete/masonry systems, and Revit proficiency. PE licensure or progress toward it is expected within six months.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering and PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 4-5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, large-scale projects preferred.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and light gage steel structures.
• Proficiency in creating construction drawings using Revit.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and communicate with clients, drafting staff, and stakeholders.
• Prepare preliminary designs and review codes for design compliance.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with architects, civil and mechanical engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents and for field use.
• Coordinate drawings with all disciplines to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Oversee shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, and coordination with field teams.
