Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and project performance from day one. You will collaborate with drafting staff, clients, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver construction-ready structural drawings and calculations for commercial projects.

The ideal candidate holds a BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering, 8–10+ years of building design experience, and a PE license; proficiency with Revit, RAM Structural System, SAP2000, and RISA

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Experience with commercial construction structural design.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design.
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents and during construction.
• Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines.
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review and RFIs.
