Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a structural engineer to assist in investigations, analyses, and repair design. The role includes reviewing designs for code compliance, performing structural analyses, and preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities also include on-site inspections (potential multi-day travel), data collection, and presenting findings. Office presence at the Wrigley Building in Chicago is expected as part of regular duties.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the design and/or investigation of structures.
• Experience in the investigation of structural failures and/or preparation of reports for attorney clients preferred.
• Licensure – EIT minimum; Working towards SE licensure

Responsibilities

• Review of structural designs for code compliance.
• Structural analysis, document review, and root cause evaluation research.
• On-site inspections with potential multi-day travel nationwide.
• Preparation of reports and repair details.
• Regular attendance in the office (Wrigley Building, 410 N Michigan Ave).
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
