Job summary

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES in Chicago seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer with 4–10 years of experience. This role involves design, assessment of existing structures, repair planning, field investigations, and project coordination.

You will collaborate with engineers, drafters, project managers, and construction teams to develop retrofit concepts for concrete and steel, prepare calculations and reports, and support site visits. PE license strongly preferred for higher-level roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing structures for deterioration, damage, serviceability issues, and compliance with codes.
• Develop repair concepts for concrete, steel, and other structures in industrial, power, and infrastructure environments.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, sketches, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Perform structural analysis and design using hand calculations and software.
• Collaborate with construction teams to integrate repair solutions with field conditions, sequencing, safety, schedule, and budget.
• Perform site visits, field investigations, condition assessments, and document observations.
