Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a structural engineer to assist in investigations, analyses, and repair design. The role includes reviewing designs for code compliance, performing structural analyses, and preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities also include on-site inspections (potential multi-day travel), data collection, and presenting findings. Office presence at the Wrigley Building in Chicago is expected as part of regular duties.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the design and/or investigation of structures.
• Experience in the investigation of structural failures and/or preparation of reports for attorney clients preferred.
• Licensure – EIT minimum; Working towards SE licensure

Job Description
We are looking for a structural engineer to assist in structural investigations, analyses, and repair design. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review of structural designs for code compliance
• Structural analysis, document review, and research for root cause evaluation
• On-site inspections and collection of data. Note that site inspections may require multi-day travel to other parts of the country
• Preparation of reports and repair details
• Regular attendance in the office (located at the Wrigley Building, 410 N Michigan Ave)
