Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company seeks a Structural Engineer III to lead analyses and designs for solar, industrial, and power projects from Greenville, SC. You will develop foundations, concrete and steel frameworks, and manage discipline scope, budgets, and mentoring of staff.

Lead with strong coding and QA, review vendor docs, coordinate with teams, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and construction feasibility. PE/SE licensure is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering accredited by ABET; focus on structural engineering.
• Master of Science in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive structural engineering experience including design, analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and validate structural calculations, drawings, and specs; support design team.
• Provide leadership and technical direction for projects; review vendor documents and shop drawings.
• Manage project scope and scheduling within discipline; identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts with other teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Oversee QA of design documentation to meet codes and construction feasibility.
• Stamp deliverables as licensed PE or SE where applicable; ensure accountability and integrity.
