Job summary

SSOE Group in Oregon seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of large-scale advanced technology and semiconductor projects from planning through construction administration.

This role requires PE licensure, 7–15 years of experience, and strong coordination with multi-disciplinary teams in an integrated design-build environment. Salary range $130,000–$160,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE licensure required, SE licensure preferred or attainable.
• 7–15 years of structural engineering experience in semiconductor/advanced technology facilities.
• Experience leading structural design in integrated design-build or fast-track settings.
• Strong background in steel, concrete, vibration-sensitive and seismic applications.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts for cleanroom, fab, utility, support, and high-tech facilities from conceptual design through construction administration.
• Develop structural system concepts and select appropriate materials based on performance and schedule constraints.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, narratives, and models for gravity, lateral, seismic, and vibration-sensitive systems.
• Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard tools (linear/nonlinear, modal, time-history).
• Establish and verify criteria for deflection, vibration, serviceability, and code compliance.
• Coordinate daily with architecture, MEP, process, facilities, and construction teams.
• Produce and review construction documents and details for fast-track delivery.
• Lead technical reviews and ensure QA/QC across projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level structural engineers.
