Job summary

SSOE Group in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Structural Engineer to design safe, code-compliant tool installation support systems for semiconductor facilities. You’ll prepare calculations, 3D models, drawings, and review packages, coordinating with project managers and cross-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
• PE license or eligibility to obtain within six months.
• 5+ years structural engineering experience in semiconductor/high-tech facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination workflows, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience in structural analysis and construction documents.
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, anchorage, and interface requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication and coordination skills.
• Salary range of $130,000–$180,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for tool installation support systems in fab environments.
• Develop calculations, load path evaluations, and design basis documentation.
• Prepare and review drawings, 3D models, details, and connection concepts.
• Coordinate with project managers and cross-discipline teams for alignment.
• Participate in design reviews and model coordination meetings.
• Support clash resolution between structural elements and adjacent systems.
• Evaluate field conditions and incorporate site findings into revisions.
• Apply QA/QC to calculations, drawings, and models.
• Track design changes and support change control.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters.
