Job summary

Rimkus is seeking Civil/Structural Engineers for a hybrid role, combining field investigations with home-office work. The team handles residential and commercial structures, including forensic analyses for insurance and legal matters, with opportunities to provide expert testimony and client-facing reporting.

Candidate must have a PE, 2–10+ years’ experience, and proficiency in MS Office and design software. Travel up to 50% may be required; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. Civil Engineering required or higher.
• P.E. required.
• 2-10+ years of experience.
• Project Management and/or Field Investigation Experience preferred.
• Depending on location, other licenses or certifications may be required

Responsibilities

• Performs the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties for the purpose of resolving claims and legal matters.
• Preparation of oral and written reports to document the causes of failure, extent of loss, and remediation recommendations; expert testimony when needed.
• Manages multiple projects, coordinating with other experts and support as needed to produce client reports on time.
• Ensures procedures are followed and safety features are checked during project execution.
• May supervise and evaluate the performance of associate team members and develop client relationships.
