Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (PE) to join our Federal Structural Engineering Team in the Washington, DC area. You will lead on federal projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, quality standards, and organizational goals.

With a hands-on, proactive approach, you will guide structural teams through complex challenges, oversee deliverables, and apply your design and construction expertise to federal facilities while traveling up to 20% of the time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of USA Federal Government project experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure in the United States; multiple state licenses preferred.
• U.S. citizen required; experience producing Issued for Construction design packages for federal facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned engineering programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines, staff, clients, and subcontractors through the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and federal standards (IBC, ACI, AISC; UFC, UFGS).
• Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level structural engineers.
• Travel ~20% for site visits and client meetings.
