Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on multiple federal projects. You will drive design and construction phases, coordinate with architects and clients, and act as Engineer of Record for HVAC systems focusing on sustainable solutions.

The role requires 8–10 years in consulting engineering, US PE licensure, and experience with federal facilities and IFC packages. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required for federal employment.
Experience with Federal Projects and IFC design packages for federal facilities.
8–10 years in consulting engineering and facility design.
Strong communication and relationship-building with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready packages.
Coordinate inter-discipline design efforts and ensure code compliance (ASHRAE, UFC, UFGS).
Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; pursue new opportunities.
Design HVAC systems using Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and related tools; serve as Engineer of Record.
