Northrop Grumman in Annapolis, MD seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to perform linear and nonlinear analyses of components and underwater assemblies, leading a small team to meet program goals.

Qualifications include a BS in Engineering with 5+ years of structural/thermal analysis (MS with 3+ years), proficiency in FEMAP/Nastran or ANSYS, and US citizenship with TS/SCI eligibility. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Competenze

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent STEM) with 5+ years experience; or MS with 3+ years.
• Proficiency in FEMAP/Nastran or ANSYS and bolted joint analysis.
• US citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI and pass a polygraph.

Mansioni

• Perform linear and nonlinear structural analyses of components and underwater assemblies using hand-calculations, FEA, and bolted joint calculations.
• Lead a small team of structural analysts to support program analysis needs.
• Collaborate in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and communicate results effectively.
