Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to lead structural analyses for complex underwater assemblies. You will guide a small team, ensure designs meet program requirements, and coordinate with cross-functional engineers to meet schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates bring extensive FEMAP/Nastran or ANSYS experience, strong communication, and a U.S. citizen status with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering and 12+ years in structural analysis, MS 10; PhD 8 years.
• On-site work at Annapolis, MD campus.
• Proficiency in FEMAP/Nastran and/or ANSYS FEA tools.
• Experience with FEA tools, bolted joint analysis, hand calculations.
• Proficient in common engineering design, production and office tools.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain TS/SCI clearance and pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform linear and nonlinear structural analyses of components and underwater assemblies.
• Lead a small team of structural analysts to support program analyses.
• Ensure designs meet program requirements, schedule and budget.
• Collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
