Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a Structural Engineering and Design Manager to provide technical leadership for data center projects. You will set design direction, govern standards, and support development through construction and modifications.

The role partners with Design Managers, Engineering Leads, and external A/E consultants to ensure reliability, scalability, sustainability, constructability, and operational performance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering; PE license required; SE preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant structural engineering experience, including complex building design.
• Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and foundation systems; codes and standards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with consultants.

Responsibilities

• Act as STACK’s structural engineering SME across new development, expansion, and existing facilities.
• Lead site feasibility and geotechnical considerations; support due diligence.
• Direct structural design reviews through all project phases; review criteria, docs, calculations, RFIs, submittals.
• Maintain Basis of Design structural requirements; develop standardized details and criteria.
• Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and lessons learned; manage consultants.
