Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a senior Structural Engineering and Design Manager to serve as the SME for structural engineering across the data center portfolio. You will establish design direction, maintain portfolio-wide standards, and provide governance from early development through construction and facility modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license is required; SE license preferred.
• 5-8 years of structural engineering experience, including complex building design projects.
• Data center or mission-critical facility experience preferred.
• Proficiency with steel, concrete, engineered wood products, foundations, and equipment support systems.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and third-party consultants.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to coordinate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Understanding of cost, schedule, constructability, and facility operations implications.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu; advanced knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with project/design management platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as STACK’s structural engineering SME across development, expansion, and existing facilities.
• Lead design reviews, review construction documents, specifications, and calculations.
• Maintain Basis of Design structural requirements and develop standard details.
• Support value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Support consultant selection, onboarding, and performance management.
• Provide structural technical support to Design Managers across the portfolio.
