Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert to lead structural engineering for a portfolio of data center projects. You will mentor teams, guide technical direction, and collaborate with clients and upper management to deliver high‑performance infrastructure.

The role emphasizes design, construction, and stakeholder coordination within our hybrid U.S. office network. A PE licensure and extensive experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer; SE license or eligible to become licensed in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software and structural analysis tools.
• Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE 7 and related design codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts across data center projects (new builds and retrofits).
• Mentor junior and senior staff; coordinate with design teams and clients.
• Drive technical direction and ensure constructible, code‑compliant solutions.
• Oversee project execution, governance, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Support design‑build delivery methodology and drive delivery excellence.
