Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team in the United States. You will work on Data Center projects, including new builds, retrofits and colocations, performing various structural analyses and member design calculations.

You’ll collaborate with a diverse, global team and coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally. Requirements: BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, 8+ years’ experience, PE, knowledge of CAD/analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry design codes.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analysis.
• Creating computer models for structures.
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.
• Liaise with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinate designs with Jacobs offices both domestic and international.
