Job summary
Jacobs is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team to work on data center projects across the United States, including new builds and retrofits. You will perform structural analyses, create computer models, and coordinate designs with internal teams and Jacobs offices.
The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering, 8+ years of experience, PE license, and proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D) and structural analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of building codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of analysis.
- Creating computer models for structures.
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules.
