Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team, working on data center projects across the United States. You will perform analyses, develop computer models, and coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.

The role requires a PE license, 8+ years in structural engineering, and proficiency with CAD/analysis tools. Expect travel of ~10–20% and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficiency with CAD software, such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry relevant design code and standards.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel)

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analyses.
• Creating computer models for structures.
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.
• Liaise with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinate designs with Jacobs offices both domestic and international.
• Contribute to, and grow technical leadership within the Advanced Manufacturing team.
