Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team, focusing on data center projects including new builds and retrofits. You will perform a range of structural engineering assignments and coordinate with Jacobs offices worldwide.
The role offers growth, leadership opportunities, and a hybrid work model with exposure to high-impact projects. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong CAD/analysis skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
- 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer with ability to register in additional states.
- Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software: RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and related codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Teams.
- Ability to travel 10–20% to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of analyses.
- Create computer models for structures.
- Perform member and foundation design calculations and quantity take-offs.
- Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestic and international.
- Collaborate with diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects.
