Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to support design, analysis, and documentation of structural cooling products for AWS infrastructure. You will develop calculations, documentation, and coordinated engineering solutions for support structures, platforms, and connections.

The role collaborates with product design, integration, and quality teams to deliver safe, scalable, and cost-effective solutions across multiple facilities worldwide.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (e.g., data centers, power generation, oil and gas).
• Experience with structural design, analysis, and coordination in large-scale facilities.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards related to structural systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural calculations and design docs for cooling systems and infrastructure, including supports and framing.
• Coordinate BIM models, permit docs, and fabrication information.
• Design connections from building structures to equipment ensuring load path integrity and code compliance.
• Perform structural analysis using software and finite element tools; verify vendor data and support fabrication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, constructible, and scalable solutions across facilities.
