Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Mechanical Products and Services team. You will develop structural calculations, design documentation, and coordinated solutions for cooling system support structures across global data centers.

The role requires knowledge of structural steel design, BIM coordination, and experience with computational design and FEA tools. You will collaborate with product design, global integration, and quality teams to deliver safe,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.).
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop structural calculations and design documentation for cooling systems and infrastructure.
Create structural permit documents, installation drawings, and BIM models.
Design structural connections and verify load paths for safety and code compliance.
Develop and maintain calculation packages; document assumptions and results.
Coordinate with product design, global integration, and quality teams.
