Job summary

CME Associates is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the HMB team in Kentucky. The role focuses on designing transportation structures such as bridges and culverts, with collaboration across disciplines and clients. A PE license and 5+ years of structural design experience are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE is required and transportation-structure design experience is essential.
• Experience designing bridges, culverts, walls and related transportation structures.
• Minimum 5+ years in structural design with oversight responsibilities.
• Project or client management experience is preferred.
• Ability to guide junior staff and contribute to design detailing.

Responsibilities

• Design transportation-related structures including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
• Assist senior design staff in structural design, drafting & review.
• Collaborate with structures group, other disciplines, and clients.
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal codes.
• Develop engineers cost estimates.
• Guide junior staff with direction and constructive feedback.
