Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with at least ten years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multidiscipline firm. The successful individual will be a structural engineer with experience in the building design of steel, concrete, and masonry for commercial, institutional, federal, and industrial buildings, both in new and existing construction. We seek someone with experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers and designers to exceed client expectations and ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.

• B.S. degree in civil engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
• 10 or more years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with analysis and design software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, Revit, RamSS, Etabs, RISA, Enercalc, etc.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.

In This Role You Will:

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on various projects.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors to produce coordinated, high-quality structural drawings.
• Work with designers, drafters, modelers, and other engineers nationwide to execute structural designs.
• Participate in project meetings to ensure effective communication during design phases.
• Interface with contractors during construction to facilitate positive outcomes with minimal complications.
• Collaborate with the Coffman Raleigh team on project pursuits and structural team planning.
• Manage projects profitably while maintaining strong client relationships.
