Job Description

Position: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Remote

Overview: The Senior Civil Engineer supports all civil aspects of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants, overseeing design processes, ensuring compliance with standards, and assisting during construction to resolve field issues and approve project completion.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Review civil engineering design deliverables for compliance with specifications and standards.
2. Coordinate with internal project teams and external stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and authorities.
3. Lead design review meetings and conduct site visits to resolve field issues.
4. Provide solutions for ongoing legacy projects.

Specific Skills Required:

• Strong civil design background, preferably in utility-scale PV solar projects.
• Experience in geotechnical, hydrology/hydraulics, survey, and land entitlement processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk Civil 3D; experience with Bluebeam Revu and Procore is a plus.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; PE licensure preferred.
• 10+ years of civil design experience, including grading, drainage, hydrology, flood mitigation, and stormwater management.

Travel may be required up to 25%. The interview process includes multiple stages from initial screening to executive interview.
