Job description

Description

This will be an onsite position supporting Crane Clean Energy Center/Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station (Harrisburg, PA).

This is a senior engineering position offering interesting and challenging opportunities in structural engineering, providing an excellent career advancement path. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers, interface with other disciplines, and guide less experienced team members.

You will work on engineering projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades/modifications to existing plants in areas such as:

  • Applying knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design
  • Preparing and reviewing design calculations, developing specifications, and supporting drawing development
  • Performing structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, supports, and foundations using state-of-the-art tools
  • Conducting analyses considering wind, seismic, and other loading conditions

Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews, construction coordination, and verification may be required.

Qualifications

Note: We do not sponsor work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Five+ years of experience in structural design and analysis within project teams
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS
  • Knowledge of design codes like IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Valued but not required:

  • MSCE degree
  • Experience with power plant or industrial structures
  • On-site construction support experience
  • PE or SE license
