Job summary

E-Space is seeking a Senior Structural Dynamics Analyst in Arlington, TX to own the integrated FEM of a deployable spacecraft antenna. You will run the model, correlate it against tests, and flow structural requirements to contributing teams.

This is a senior individual contributor role focusing on modal analysis, frequency response, and ensuring model-test coherence. The role demands on-site work with travel between sites, a strong aerospace/mechanical engineering foundation, and experience

Qualifications

• Structural dynamics as your primary discipline: modal analysis, frequency response, and eigenvalue methods.
• Proficiency in FEA (Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus) for modal, static, and linear dynamics problems.
• Personal responsibility for at least one model-test correlation against modal or vibration test data.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated FEM of the deployed antenna assembly and integrate properties from component teams.
• Perform deployed-state structural performance analysis including modal survey prediction and static deflection under on-orbit loads.
• Develop and maintain the structural requirements allocation and flow down to components.
• Lead model-test correlation at each level of the V&V test pyramid with pre-test predictions and data-backed parameter updates.
• Analyze deployment kinematics, tensioning loads, and deployment dynamics, and provide test predictions to the Mechanical Test Engineer.
• Provide pre-test predictions and structural interpretation for vibration and shock testing of the stowed antenna assembly.
• Assess structural risk of design changes and support anomaly investigations.
